::: Ocean of Air :::
Ocean of Air
-------------
An organic musical collaboration to celebrate the release of the
Electronic Artists' Society's multimedia disc "Play With Machines 2"
(http://www.easworld.org). All four sailors of the Ocean of Air have
solo tracks on the disc, making the official launch a natural
opportunity to indulge in some gratuitous electro-acoustic
exploration and abstract sci-fi soundings. Ocean of Air presents
their live set at Brisbane's "Mantra" as testimony to the event. They
are:
Gordon Duguid - samples
Michael Norris - percussion
David Loose - synth and sequences
Scott Sinclair - guitar
The music, completely improvised, is a relaxed ambient mass with
shifting rhythmic and chaotic elements. The interplay between the
four players, both restrained and playful, simultaneously creates
bouts of accruing momentum and eerie dissonance. With no ground below
your feet, the only choice is to float in the Ocean of Air!
Be sure to check out other projects from the Ocean of Air personnel:
Gordon Duguid = Captain Mubbers/pH3
Michael Norris = Fugal Quease/Flew Creeking
David Loose = Hydatid
Scott Sinclair = solo-dj/pH3/Scheme

::: Nam Shub of Enki "Fuck Piece" (Demon Tea Recordings) :::
"Fuck Piece" is the long awaited second album of talented Brisbane
artist, The Nam Shub of Enki. He combines aspects of various styles
of music into a melting pot of psychedelic breakbeat and trance,
whilst keeping a fun psychedelic edge that never takes itself too
seriously. Nam Shub of Enki has been one of Brisbane's favourite
underground Electronic artists for the past few years, playing at too
many festivals, outdoor parties, and club events to count. His unique
style has attracted fans from many different musical backgrounds,
including trance, techno and even rock!
You can also catch The Nam Shub of Enki's alter-ego on Brisbane's
community radio station, 4ZzZ 101.4FM (http://www.4zzzfm.org.au) as
