    I'm not much of a house head--been on a bit of a 2-step tip, but,
    here in the San Francisco Bay Area, I would say that 'deep house' is
    more of the current San Francisco sound--or at least reading Jockey
    Slut and listening to the local house radio shows, that's the sound
    here. (check http://kzsu.stanford.edu and look for the 'Big Love'
    show on Monday afternoons for an idea. Though I have heard that
    there is a weird I think psychedelic sound from the local labels
    (i.e. Red Melon.)
