That's what I thought too, until I started hearing broken-beat...
There seems to be a technological rift in what was once acid-jazz; the more
organic, rootsier sound has evolved into this whole "jam band scene" --
bands like Greyboy Allstars and Galactic are part of such a thing now. And
the acid-jazz with the more electronic tip, has evolved into drum n bass,
downtempo, deep house and broken-beat...
