    Hi list,

    recently i purchased the compilation Grass Roots by Ashley Beedle on
    Strut...i purchased the CD version.....the selection is without doubt very
    nice, but i was wondering about the quality of mastering...

    is it my ears or do almost all the tracks sound if there is some dark
    blanket thrown over them? I.e. i have the feeling this album was very badly
    mastered for CD....i know there are old trax on them which can have some
    loss in high freqs, but it's really obvious to my ears..

    any other people that have this comp and have some idea about this?
