Well, it's definitely not up to last year, although coming off of a year
that gave Quasimoto, Common, Talib Kweli, Black Eyed Peas, Deltron and
Outkast, it's easy to see why. This year isn't a total waste though: The
Coup, Eyedea + Abilities, and Aesop Rock were all great. And I haven't even
heard Dilated Peoples or Living Legends new joints yet. Plus we did get the
Beat Generation Series with Pete Rock, Jay Dee, Will I Am and Marley Marl.
Where were the Ninja's this year though? Solid Steel was good, but we need
more. Is the new Porcini out yet? or Gilberto? or Cinematic? Ah well; just
ups the ante for next year.
Ciao
