Hey ppl
just received a very nice CDR
called the Conran Shop.
Tracks are apparently selected by Aurore
Le Blanc though I cant seem to find
anything on him.
I found out after a long an tedious
effort, that it is released on Wagram Music.
It seems to be a French label.
If anyone has any info on this fine
selection dont hesitate to post it.
Included for your amusement is
the tracklist, that so happens to
be opened by no other than :
Zero 7 - In the waiting line
Jimi Tenor - Paradise can wait
Pablo - High Jazz
Wicked Lestor - Chocolate
Gonzales - Lets groove again
Afronaught - Just anutha day
Rollercone - j'avance
Beanfield - Re-ac-tion
Flying pops - Cotė oust
Rubin Steiner - lo-fi jazz # 11
Ai feat. Seest - The ghetto (vox)
Troubemakers - Groover is back
Tica - Rock the cabash (Smith and Mighty steppers mix)
John Redmond - Tears dry up
Personally I am very thrilled to see my
number one favourite prankster, the
canadian jew - Gonzales included
with the fabulous track - Lets groove again.
Gonzales is a bit off-topic, but he cannot
be ignored if you are into an eclectic blend
of rap ( The worst Mc), sentimental groove
(Lets groove again) or pestering the
A and R people in the record bizz
(Candy)
He has a screwball kindish approach to
his music, which so happens to be pointed
in all directions, and it is very humorous and
groovy in a low-fi way.
Just the titles make me laugh, like;
The worst MC
Futuristic aint shit to me
The name they gave me
Gringo Star
or the title of his albums
Chilly Gonzales - The entertainist
Gonzales uber alles
Currently he is living in Berlin stating;
"It takes a canadian jew to set out and destroy
the Berlin underground "
