Last week was nothing short of action-packed, due in no small part to
an amazing show by Bjork at Oakland's Paramount Theater (thanks
Keith) and a rousing set by the Truby Trio at DNA on Thursday. After
close to five hours of the "Concert for NY" on Saturday, I was
exhausted! This also meant that I had a lot of catching up to do on
    new releases, such as:

Future World Funk - "The Third Dimension" and the third edition in
this excellent collection of world rhythms, compiled by the fine
folks at Ocho. Nick Wood's "Sound Virus" gets a domestic release by
Milan Records (primarily known for their soundtrack catalog) and is
an interesting collection of pop and electronica tracks, many of
which Nick used for music in commercials. Money Mark is back with
"ChangeIsComing" - an album packed with funky breakbeats and tasty
keyboard work. "Swim Team 2" is the latest compilation from Colin
Newman's Swim Label and offers up some dark ambience and electronica
from Silo, Immersion, Bumpy, Lobe and of course, Colin himself. We've
also got Freezone 7 to explore in depth and two 12" worth of
    Incognito remixes to listen to.

Finally, apologies for those of you who had difficulty listening to
the Live365 Webcasts this week. They underwent maintenance for the
better part of last week and the shows were largely unavailable.
Things are back to normal now and appear to be A-OK.

That's it for this week - ciao for now!

    David
