    If you're near the Convention Center, you can ride Metro Rail, there's a
    station a couple blocks away on Pico & Flower, right near the Staples
    Center (if you wanna get some World Champion Lakers-related items, there's
    a souvenier shop at the arena at street level). From there you go to the
    7th Street station and you can transfer to the Red Line subway going east
    (Downtown, Olvera Street, Chinatown, Little Tokyo, Broadway) or west
    (Hollywood Blvd, Universal Studios). $1.60 ticket each way including transfer.
