I got into work this morning and the first thing I saw was Lynne's forwarded
NYTimes.com article. No disrespect to you Lynne but it seemed bizarre given
the amount of coverage I've witnessed over the last few hours. Last night
Britain's three main TV channels were running the story constantly and I
spent a large portion of the evening listening to the BBC 5 Live news radio.
Someone in our office received a call from their brother stateside to say
the World Trade Center had been hit and out of curiosity we tried to access
the news websites, expecting it to be some kind of stupid accident. As we
looked at the developments, the sheer scale of what happened became hard to
comprehend.
My thoughts, love and hope go out to all those involved, their friends and
relatives, and the people of NY and DC.
