to try and keep it real,
I believe the low estimate is somewhere in the area of 10,000. Keep in mind
tho...most of the casulties aren't even bodies. They're hands, feet..parts.
I have reached the point of a constant state of nausea. My cousin is
missing 40 friends and co-workers. I am so blessed that all my friends and
family made it out. Fathers, Mothers, Children.... all gone in an instant.
I attend Rutgers Univ. The school has organized an effort to recruit
volenteers. Here is an excerpt from that message...
Everyone is warned to understand the WTC site is ghastly to behold, to
smell, to experience. If you choose to do work around the WTC (there are
choices of what to do usually) you must mentally prepare yourself for people
in all states of distress, exhaustion, and the incredible filth of the
sites. You must be prepared to deal with remnants of
shattered human bodies. Most of the work is physically demanding.
This could have happened, and probably will happen again, anywhere in the
world. NO EXCUSES!
I will return to work in mid-town on Tuesday and I am frightened.
I understand that in addition to retaliation we must examine many world
issues in order to keep this from happening again. Even if we didn't
retaliate it would happen again.
Can anyone tell me what Bin Ladin's message is? What does he want? From
what I gather it's not purely a religious issue. It goes beyond Israel vs
Arab. I see no way these two groups will ever co-exsist. Both groups have
valid issues...but neither is willing to budge. No one will win, instead we
will ALL lose.
Also I have been looking for information on the origins of US/Israel
support. I have not been able to get to the roots of this alliance...can
anyone enlighten me? off list or on if your interested.
I have no answers only questions.
I can't help but think of those old war slogans "Never Forget" and "Never
Again". Now I understand. Please, I only hope all of you outside the tri
state area realize the magnatude of this...
"Normal" will never be normal again....
j
finding comfort in MG4 Now You Know Better and trk 15 uh return home or
something like that... not very related but it makes me feel... the constant
shift between feeling and not feeling has been difficult.
