Don't know if I would call any of this ambient, more mellow. Hope it

Joni Mitchell (Some of it any way, Think "Hissing of summer lawns".)
Laurie Anderson(Very voice orientated!)
De-Phazz(Yes, I am really hooked, not the last time you will hear me
recommend it.) Very groovy and mellow. Like being drowned in
chocolate. Some are up tempo though, mixed male and female vocal.
Randi Laubek(Danish artist!!) Very drown able.
And some more, will have to check my cd collection. This weekend..
