Yes - I was there also (and also in Uttrecht, Eindhoven & Amsterdam - no I'm
not a mad fan, I was playing in the live band on tour with them!)
These guys are really rippin' it up! Haven't enjoyed a drum&bass set so much
since '97. Respect!

Hey list,
Dj's Marky and Patife were in Rotterdam last weekend and thanks to my
brazilian brother Alexandre Tahira who spent some time in Rotterdam we were
on the guest list for this magnificent duo from the S鉶 Paulo d&b scene.
Patife of course played a lot of jazzy, vocal drum&bass to which I couldn't
stop to dance to. Sambassim was a favourite for the Rotterdam crowd. I got a
promo of the follow -up to Sambassim..be sure to check it when it drops!
(no, I can't distribute it..)
Marky demonstrated his scratching techniques, making the people bounce. I
went to say hi and he recognized me from 2 years ago when I had spoken five
minutes with him in a dark club in Amsterdam and nobody knew him. When the
lights finally turned on people were still dancing and didn't want to
leave...nice night. Check them when they're near you. Good to see that
they're getting acknowledgement all over the world now.
btw I'm looking for contact info of Mark Wilcox in the UK, anybody has his
e-mail address?
Cheers,
Jeroen
