Hello you beautiful peoples! Another week flashing
by...admittedly I was close to reverting back into
2-year-old mode on the weekend during the family
shindigs. Yup, almost started a temper tantrum on the
kitchen floor cause there's only so much family
nuttiness Venus can take...not that I don't love my
fam (hi Corrine!) but when your moms keeps telling you
how to boil water...more than once...and you're in
your mid-twenties...well it's enough to drive Venus a
little kookoo.
Speaking of rarities...NOT! Yet another snowfall
hitting the T-dot...yup, not even surprised anymore.
All we need is minus 20 celsius weather to hit and
it's ON!! Bring on winter, cause lord knows we just
can't get enough of the lack of sunlight! Anyone out
there got room in their pad on the Riveria? The
record crates can be packed in a snap...
OH SHNAP! Yeah, DJs Dalia and Venus concocting another
edition of the 'BEST KEPT SECRET' to breeze through
your speakers once again tonight 6-8 PM EST on CHRY
105.5 FM (uptown baby, UPTOWN!). Check it online at
http://www.yorku.ca/chry live in Shoutcast (just
snatch yerself Winamp and you're good to go).
~~~~TONIGHT~~~~ (cause what goes down must come up)
One of our favourite peoples in the whole wide world
will be joining us in the studio tonight to speak his
clout on the mic and behind the decks. Yes, Andrew
Masuda aka Mista Masuuuuuda aka Mr. CHRY of 'Build to
Break' fame right here on 105.5 FM will be bringing
the conscious house, hip hop, and abstract vibes with
conscious words to wake you up to injustice. He's
involved with the Ontario Common Front, media
democracy issues, and just about any social justice
cause you can think of. One of the dopest cats we've
ever known, for sho. And one of the funniest sleepers
you'll ever see (early Tuesday mornings, anyone?).
Don't miss 'Build to Break'...news, current events,
and interviews with various artists and activists, all
set against a backdrop of serious hip hop, house, and
them punk vibes. Monday nights 11 PM - midnite EST on
the mighty 105.5 FM. Get schooled!! Email for more
info at buildtobreak@tao.ca
