Ay Carumba, dear list!
Something I did has backfired... I sent an automated email to the list
inviting all of you folks in SF to sign up for FlavorPill, a high-quality
weekly event listing via email, which I have enjoyed here in NYC for quite
some time.
Little did I realize, however, that anybody who clicked on the embedded
link would be signing up the address acid-jazz@ucsd.edu, not their own
email address!
Though the newsletter is good, it is not appropriate for the Acid-Jazz
list as a whole to receive it for two reasons:
1. it is highly-location specific and often not-AJ related == OT
2. it is very large and full of embedded HTML and images, which would
clutter up the digest-mode
THEREFORE : I will be contacting flavorpill and asking them to remove
acid-jazz@ucsd.edu from their mailing list.
BUT, if you live in SF, and would like to receive an intelligent and
astute weekly event listing, go to www.flavorpill.net and sign up.
No, I dont work for FlavorPill, I just appreciate their vibe !
