After last years wake up call, Rainy City Music welcomes you into a more positive 2002, with a rendition of the jazz-funked disco cut (from the sleazy penthouse {porno} label of the 70's.) Let Me Be Your Fantasy by The Love Symphony Orchestra. A cult track, familiar to those who know their tasteful black disco music from the cheap Saturday Night Fever imitation. The good news for the clued up family being that there isn't a love boat midsection in this new cover

There are two versions released on this 12" & some remixes forthcoming. First up is the funkin soul mix performed by The Elastic Band with english & spanish lyrics. Lead vocalist, debuting on Rainy City Music, is Baltimore's Jerome 'Mr Jay', sweetly backed up by Doreen Edwards & the amazing Cuban Golden voice of Arturo. The Elastic Band's live feel oozes class, courtesy of some bad ass drumming & hooky bass licks creating a wicked jazz-funked, soul fuelled disco version that really moves. The musicians really tear this record up & we say muchos respect to them. Take a deeep breath & listen!!!

The flip side is remixed by City People who fatten things up, making the groove a little more sparse & letting the english vocals dominate. It's a deeep mix aimed at the worldwide soulful house nation.

Now we love the original version, but we are glad to say the funkin soul mix with spanish vocals updates this groove very tastefully. Check it!!!
