Tempo of the Down,
Its ironic I see Paul Weller mentioned in your email because yesterday I was
up in Pisgah Forest, North Carolina working on my Motorcycles and my buddy
Ed Sutton and I were listening to NPR out of Asheville, NC. There was this
killer ass Paul Weller song that was played yesterday. I didn't catch the
title or anything but I do remember it being good to go in a major way. I
think I need to check Weller's catalog along with The Style Council as well.
Also on this NPR station they played this song by Cousteau which was
really good to and it wasn't "The Last Good Day of the Year" which I like
alot too and its Trumpet part appears in the Nissan Altima commercial. You
know these two aforementioned vocalist remind me of that Living in a Box
vocalist from back in the 80's.
In my CD changer now:
Hi-Fidelity Dub Sessions 3 - especially Daddy Ous's "Touse Le Monde"
Hedkandi's Winter Chill 3 - especially Fenomenon's "Out of Control"
Cinematic Orchestra's - Everyday -
P'taah's - Compressed Light -
Nils Petter Molvaer's - Khmer -
Liguid Lounge Series 1 Drop a Guide Electronic Chill
Shadow Records - Dub Life - A Continuous Mix by DJ Shawn Francis
Miles Davis & John Hooker's OST to the Movie - Hot Spot -
This member of the "Taste Police" likes these above so Book 'em Danno! JW,
if Stimp steps on your Pumas again give me a holler, he means no harm.
Speaking of Means No Harm, The OST to - The Insider - features Massive
Attack's "Safe From Harm" and that is friggin' awesome, especially the
extended version. Great Movie too, anything, I mean anything that destroys
the tobacco industry is alright with me.
Semper Motociclismo,
Pace'
