Maybe not in my CD-player but these albums have made it to the sound
system most frequently lately.
1. Angie Stone "Mahogany Soul"
- This CD just won't leave me alone. Brilliant.
2. Dee Ranger "So Far Out So Good"
- Fuzzy garage rock'n'roll. Best release from White Jazz since I
don't know when.
3. Vikter Duplaix "DJ-kicks"
- My favourite parts of this set keeps changing. Really good. Right
now I'm especially fond of the latinflavoured section. Note to self:
"must get a hold of the Osunlade album asap".
4. Mondial "Always Dreamin of Something Else"
- Swedish electronic pop. PSB meets St Etienne meets Daft Punk.
5. The Last Poets "Beats Rhyme + Revolution"
- Why are the Music Club International collections so hard to come by
in Sweden? This is good stuff.
6. D'Angelo "Brown Sugar"
- Trying to decide which one is funkier, this one or "Voodoo".
Waiting for the live album...
7. USCB Allstars "All Man Á Evil" (CDS)
- White boy dub reggae meets ska and rocksteady.
8. Rufus "Rufus"
- Got this as a research album for a book project. Funk meets folk.
9. Marc Moulin "Top Secret"
- Uneven, but there are a few good ones on this one.
0. The Hollywoods "s|t"
- Trashy instrumental surf sounds. Wicked.
