There is a series of Afrofunk discs that are well worthwhile, compiled by
Russ Dewbury and on the Harmless label, you can find some good stuff on
the Ocho label as well, don't be nervous about dropping this stuff there
are usually dancers in most dancing groups who will get off on good
Afrofunk and they will bring the rest along! These BBC documentaries are
usually excellent and they do love the Afro sounds in that neck of da
woods!
