Hey Nat,
well I am looking forward to this gig since it would seem that a LOT of
people are going judging from the phone calls I received last night and I
have been asked to rock out to get things moving, not really necessary to
ask of me but I see that as a green light to really kick it and get things
moving! I liked your choices as well except I will be playing the Joe
Claussell mix of Homelands but the Nickodemus track will definitely be
heard as well! I agree that we could probably come up with a tour circuit
via our contacts with each other on this list, it is more of a resource
than is acknowledged I think.
I will let you know how it goes for me tonight and I want to know how your
gig was as well!
peace
Leslie
sample thoughts for a playlist:
Nitn Sawhney - Homelands(Joe Claussell mix)
Nickodemus - desert dancer
Karsh Kale - a couple of possibilities (have you heard this album? you
might like it a lot!)
Shpongle - Star Shpongled Banner
Joi - India
Rachid Taha - India (these two to lean into the techno edge of musical
matters!
I agree with you, by the way, about how most of these folks really live on
the Druym n Bass line, I intend to stay on the thumpier edge since I have
an idea of the crowd that will attend
Peace!
