Hi,
Depends on what you want:
Reason doesn't record audio but it does have a recycle function built
in. It comes with a lot of good sounds, built in synthesizer,
drummachine and sampler (and you can use as many as you want).
Cubase is great if you combine audio and midi, through the rewire
function in cubase you can also access reason directly!
Acid is great if you don't use midi at all but works very easy. The
timestretching in acid is incredible.
Usually you can get demo versions to try them.
Bye,
