If you don't like solely playlists, an easy way to remedy the matter is
to simply make use of your email client's (standalone or web-based) mail
filter to weed out unwanted matter of your choosing. This is how I deal
with unwanted messages on mailing lists, knowing full well that it does
no good to simply insist on such mailings to stop for each individual
who does not desire them.
Like it or not, it's a mailing list...a shared community. And like all
communities, you can choose to tune out what you don't wish to see in
several forms of *your* choosing. Please don't expect the person serving
the whole community to attempt to do the filtering for you on a mass
list; it's just not a reasonable expectation.
I hate to jump in like this, but I've seen requests like this on more
than one occassion. When you're on a mailing list, you have to take the
useful with the not-so-useful--whatever it may be.
My two cents,
Velanche
