    Hello,

As of today June 25, 2002, I will no longer be able to bring you The
Down Low. Due to the Royalty fee
laws that where placed on internet broadcasters in America on June 20th,
I have no other choice but to
    stop programing the show.

I would love more than anything to be able to comply to these laws, but
    unfortunately due to the financial
nature it is not possible to continue. I pay for The Down Low out of my
own pocket and with no other
financial sources to help, it has always struggled to stay alive.

I formed The Down Low because I believe in the music and I wanted to
    help all the talented dj's/producers
get the exposure they deserve. I wanted to give the people who share the
same passion for the music one
more needed outlet to hear it.

I would like to thank all the guests who took the time and effort to
    provide outstanding mixes for the
show, to all the labels who sent me there music and to all the listeners
who took the time to listen. All
of you made it worth while.

Finally I would like to say that I will seek another way to keep the
show alive. Until then I will continue
to buy and enjoy the music I love in the make-shift studio and keep
pushin' the sounds in the smoky
    bars and clubs in NYC.

It's been a pleasure to meet and make new friends through the show and I
    intend to stay in touch.

    What a run,

    Wayne Pate
