Finally we have our first record out. Before I continue on with a
description, I wanted to take this time to thank all of those who wrote
in with feedback on the test press. Your time and input meant a great
deal to us. Again thank you.
This is a very exciting time for Greg and I as we are now able to freely
put out music we feel represents our sound and do so without any
restrictions.
Our next project, a 10", goes to press this month with a collaboration
of Bastard Jazz's recording artist Aaron Schultz, aka DRM and Citrona's
Greg Long aka Canton. This is to be a great downtempo record with a
beautiful sound for those who love a funky bass-line and trip hop beats.
Clips are now available for listening on the Citrona Site.
This fall we are releasing yet another eclectic 12" already in the works
as we will be working we Citrona's newest addition "The First Floor
Brothers". More on this release in the near future.
Also Citrona Selector charts updated by Dr.Um and Sheila Campbell.

Greg Long - Vitamin C - Citrona Recordings
Following the recent release of his serene debut album "Balance" Greg
Long switches gears delivering a straight forward
"Vitamin C EP" debut for Citrona Recordings
Embracing both electronic and acoustic textures along with subtle and
uncategorizable elements of jazz, Vitamin C offers a little bit of
flavor for everyone.
*On the A side you'll find the sophisticated yet contemporary "Vitamin
C" by Greg Long. Aggressive moody use of the Rhodes leads this track
into a midtempo groove that mixes in even with the best of house sets.
*A2 follows up with a super tight reconstruction of "Vitamin C - Orange
Julius mix" by Toronto's very own Kinder Atom of Nice + Smooth. Turning
Vitamin C into a seriously potentate remix.
*On the B side is a twist with the funky and delicious dubbed out tune
"A Tang of Shady Orange" as Greg and Mark Blissenden (Baby Mammoth) take
on a project they call "Fingerflag" Both Greg and Mark switch off with
the fretless bass and the keys giving this track the Mammoth touch with
Long's Mediterranean flare.
*B2 One of my personal favorites, is the seriously moody "Sweet Lime" by
Greg Long. Lead by meticulously woven organic beats, dark and somewhat
ghoulish keys, this track is definitely late night material.
