    I've been a member of the list since '94 or '95. Over time, I've noticed these changes

    1. more of the postings are promotional or marketing-
       based, no big deal considering the web is more
       commercialized than it was when I first signed on.

    2. as the concept of acid jazz splintered into
       nu jazz, broken beat, neo soul, 2 step, trip-hop,
       etc, lists catering to those styles have emerged
       to "steal the thunder," if you will, of this list.
     
    This is still a valuable resource, and I continue to look forward to what people have to say, even throwing in my two cents from time to time.
