seriously though, acid-jazz (the genre) did the disco
thing (i.e., death/morph) a few years ago. i don't
think it'll be ready for a revival for another 5 years
or so. we're already going through the thing of how
much 90's music (mostly pop) sucked--although many
people are still buying/playing a lot of 90's (usually
pre-95) electronic (and hiphop) stuff.
it's interesting to think about how sparse albums were
by many of the leading 90's people that we discuss on
this list. portishead has 3, massive has 4 (of
course, one of those is a dub/remix version), shadow
has 3, smith & mighty have 2 (the new one's not out
yet, is it?), roni size/reprazent have 2 (krust-1,
suv-?, die-?, and ok, they've got a jillion singles)
