From what I've read, L.A. Reid likes the album but feels there's nothing they can push on a commercial level, and that's why QTip/Kamaal was sent back to the lab.
Many of the songs are available on peer-to-peer services. That's how I was able to preview about half of the album. At first I wasn't feeling it, and much of it will come as a surprise to people yearning for the "old" Q-Tip, but there's definitely some quality material there, like "Abstractions" and "Feeling."
He appears to be making a break from his Q-Tip persona with this record. Much more experimental than anything he's done, a real reversal from Amplified.
