    I agree 100% (my stats: 39 years old, started playing guitar in R&B groups
    at 14). I've seen the music scene change...all genres evolve. The thing that
    really gets me is that today's young music listener, especially in the
    urban/pop music scene is getting gipped...why?...because IMHO there is no
    real talent...at least in what the industry pushes. That is really the
    key...more so than anything else...it is the industry. As P-Diddy once
    wrote, its' ALL ABOUT THE BENJAMINS. And though I dislike 98% of the hip-hop
    (commercial anyway) that is pushed (for the reasons mentioned below), I've
    been listening from the days of pre-radio hip-hop and I applauded a musical
    genre that has not proved the industry naysayers wrong, but has stood the
    test of time and has had it's essence infiltrate everything from Saturday
    morning cartoons to Sesame Street to commercials of all times. In closing,
    give me guitar, bass, drums, keys and some strings/brass for good measure,
    and I am gooood tooooo go!

    ::: peace :::
