---- ADDRESS FOR MUSICAL SUBMISSIONS To jump right to the mailing address for musical submissions, please scroll toward the bottom of this circular for more information. ---- NEWS We're loaded per usual with the good stuff. New music includes the new 12" from Philly artist Vikter Duplaix entitled "Looking For Love." Taken from his debut long-player for Hollywood Records called "International Affairs," we'll play one of the remixes from none other than the Bugz In The Attic crew--one of their best remixes this year, in my opinion. Landslide also drops a soulful new two-step number called "It's Not Over," with vocals from Alison Crockett, on Hospital. Thanks to one of the my good sources, it's my pleasure to share with you the Stereo Deluxe debut album from The Bobby Hughes Combination. "Nhu Golden Era" is quite special, and quite a treat to listen to from beginning to end. Omoa Music artist Ayro, whose "Drink/Let This" single has won praise and acclaim with the most influential artists and DJs from around the world, will have his debut full-length out on the label next year. If you listen to tonight's show, though, we'll give you a taster with an exclusive track from the album. We'll also have a profile and interview with Ayro that will air in early January...details to come. There's more new goodness, current releases, and a surprise or two in store so be sure to tune in on-air or online! SPECIAL LANDSLIDE MIX Tune on Friday November 15 during the bottom of the second hour of Urban Landscapes (about 9:30pm) for a special mix set from Hospital Recording artist Landslide. He's just released his newest single "It's Not Over" that features the vocals of Brooklyn-based singer Alison Crockett. The mix will feature a soulful, uptempo mix of some great music, so you won't want to miss out. SPECIAL PROGRAMMING NOTES FOR THE REST OF NOVEMBER The next two Fridays after November 15 will deviate from our usual routine. On November 22, we will feature a special auction edition of Urban Landscapes. Thanks to some generous donors, we'll have some very cool items to auction off to our local listeners. The following Friday, November 29, will be Thanksgiving weekend. I will be out of town, so the show will go dark. THREE-PART REWIND OF THE BEST MUSIC OF 2002 Starting Friday December 6, Urban Landscapes will host the first of what will be the last three shows of 2002. December 6 will spotlight my picks of the 30 Most Recommended Albums of 2002. This isn't going to be easy to do...2002 has been quite a fresh musical year. But in the end, there can only be 30 standouts that we'll have time to fit into a three-hour set; hence, the 30 Most Recommended Albums of 2002. On Friday December 13, we'll have a rundown of the 30 Most Recommended Singles that's best represented the year. Then on Friday December 20, we'll sort out the Most Recommeneded Remix Albums & Compilations of the year. It's crazy to do things this way, but the output of great music this year has been abundant; so much so, that it would be crazy to let the gems get away. I plan to have all of the shows, along with the playlists, available listening and viewing, respectivley, online on the Urban Landscapes web site. So there you have it...the rest of the programming schedule for 2002 at a glance. More exciting information will be forthcoming before the year is through, so watch this space. ---- REVIEWS NEXT WEEK No time for reviews this week, but expect a bumper crop of next week.
