As if watching "Bowling for Columbine" last night wasn't an eye-opening
experience, there's a debate going on a DJ list that I belong on
regarding the use of drugs in clubs.
It started with what appeared to have been a well-planned event in
Racine, Wisconsin. What resulted, in the end, shocked me.
While the unfolding events are isolated, my hope is (and this is what
"Columbine" pointed out very well) that we don't allow fear to be use as
a means of supressing what should otherwise be legal dance events. It
could have broad implications, but I feel that enough folks will get
pissed off enough to let the powers-that-be know one thing--that they'll
have an tax-paying, educated, and informed electorate to be reckoned with.
