    Greetings,

Last week's interview with Jazzanova was a blast and is now up at
Live365.com for your listening enjoyment. Alex, Jurgen and Daniel
(Best Seven) spent a good 90 minutes talking about their history,
their roles as producers & DJs, the structure of Sonar Kollektive and
what's on deck for the near future. Of course they also played some
incredible new releases that we'll spin again in the weeks ahead, so
click on the links below to check it out and peep the Website for a
photo of the threesome. A big thanks to Jazzanova, Jessica and
Rachel from S.P.E.C.T.R.E. for setting it up and to our friends at
Blasthaus for getting the boys to the station and producing a great
event at Ruby Skye the night before.

With all the new CDs arriving daily, it's become increasingly more
difficult to find anything on my desk. It is for this reason that
brevity will be the operative word, so here goes.....

Underworld: "A Hundred Days Off" - Trance does absolutely nothing for
me, but these guys rule. I was a little put off by their last live
album and the departure of Darren Emerson, but this album chugs along
with energy and imagination. Now where did I put that E.......?

Calm: "Organ Language" - House and jazz with a large side of chill
makes for a tasty meal and Calm is one talented chef. It reminded me
of my trip to Japan years ago when I experienced an overwhelming
feeling of serenity while roaming around the chaotic streets of
Tokyo. Calm has a lot going on in his music without beating you over
the head with it. What's for dessert?

Jurassic 5: "Power In Numbers" - Positive energy abounds on J5's
second full-length, as do guest appearances from Nelly Furtado, Big
Daddy Kane, Juju from the Beatnuts and others. Go with this flow.

V/A: "Music For Speakers: Compilation 2" - If you haven't heard the
artists on this album, then you owe it to yourself to pick it up.
David and Sandor Caron, along with Sonar Lodge, Roomtone, Aardvarck,
Madcap and others make music that's difficult to describe. Acoustic
trip-hop, abstract jazz, leftfield pop - none of these really do it
justice, but you probably get the idea. One of my favorite new labels.

Seiji: "Remixes" - Paul "Seiji" Dolby collects eleven of his best on
one slammin' disc. Reel People, Dom Um Romao, Mark De Clive-Lowe and
a stunning Neon Phusion jam all represent here. Score another one for
    West London!

Miguel Migs: "Colorful You" - San Francisco's own steps out with his
first album as an artist and producer knocks one out of the park.
Together with guests Lisa Shaw and Zoe Ellis, MM has crafted a fine
house album with selections that are as perfect for peak hour as they
are for the drive home at 4a.m..Sweet.

"Plankton Man vs. Terrestre" - This may be my favorite album to
emerge from Tijuana's Nortec Collective so far. There is a greater
ratio of songs to riffs and some are downright catchy. The samples
are always a treat, but more important is the context in which they
have a chance to develop. Ay caramba!

There's also new stuff from Projections ("Here & Now), AK 1200
("Shoot To Kill"), Cassius ("Au Reve"), Ansel Collins ("Jamaican
Gold"), Midival Punditz, Electric Birds, Ras, Speedometer and many
    more...

Until next time, ciao for now!
    David
