Haven't heard the Thievery Corp or Jimpster yet, but...

Dzihan and Kamien - Gran Riserva
_Gran Riserva_ is D&K's latest attempt to cement their reputations as
chill-out masters and though the group's second kick at the can storms
out of the gate, it looses its direction a third of the way through and
never fully recovers. "Stiff Jazz", a loosely swinging number which is
anything but, opens the album and is followed husky vocals of Daniela
Mueller on "Basmati", one of the album's standout tracks mixing standup
bass and piano riffs with shoe shuffling house tempos. But following
"Sliding" (a deeper, mellower cousin to Groove Armada's "Superstylin'"),
Gran Riserva degenerates into nondescript mash of airy effects, lounge-y
horn riffs and predictably restrained drum loops. Disappointing,
considering the strength of their previous work and the album's first
    four tracks.
Those first four tracks, though... whoa

    Cam - Soulshine
Cam's most organic and light-hearted effort to date. Gone are the
brooding and dark hip hop instrumentals -- He's dropped the DJ from his
name and now works more like an arranger, co-ordinating efforts from a
talented group of studio musicians and guests. For me, "Soulshine"
brings to mind the first Jazzamatazz record (and not just because of the
Guru collabo "Espionnage". Hella good track, though). Look for
excellent work from Cam himself such as "Bounce" or working along side
    Cameo (!) for "Love Junkee".
