The air has taken on a cool, crisp vibe in this anticipation for the arrival
of All Hallow's Eve...booooo SCARY! That's right, gotta take it back to the
SCTV roots and pay respects to Count Floyd, who always knew how to freak it
out right, each and every time.
Take a moment and let out a big
"aaaaahhhhhhhhhhoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!' to get yourself
warmed up for tomorrow night's trickin and treatin.
*pause*
Is fun, non? I know I feel better prepared...
So are you ready for a really scary Secret this Halloween?
Don't say you weren't warned...

The #1 answer on the survey for one of the most scary-good DJs we know is
Todd Sines. Formerly holding it down with various events for the Columbus,
OH massive, Sines moved to Toronto earlier this year to expand his
steadily-building empire. His musical palette for disc juggling and studio
work bleeds together deep, sensual house, techno, and electro, with Latin
and Brazillian influences all couched within an eclectic, minimal edge.
This guy's got more credits than the end of a blockbuster Hollywood movie:
recordings for labels like Planet E, Peacefrog, 21/22, Seventh City,
Residual, PTR, and Chair, among others; co-founder of ele_mental
(www.ele-mental.org); continously tours all over Europe and North America;
and has been featured at various music festivals, including DEMF both in
2001 and 2002. His newest release on Planet E entitled 'Overlap' features
Natacha Labelle (of Maxelle on PTR), and is making some serious waves in
many a tastemakers' crates. You won't want to sleep on it...it's an
absolutely stunning record.
If you wanna check out this man live, head over this Saturday night to a
Halloween Party at 813 Queen St. W, 2nd floor above Citron restaurant. Not
sure about damage at the door, but it shouldn't be too bad. Also on the
bill: DJ Nightcook, Iron Will, General Eclectic, and special guest Miss
Blonde Pussy (ummm...no, that's not Dalia nor myself...hahahahahaha)
YESH!
