    I'm a big fan of AKG.

    I think the "AKG K141" is excellent, especielly as DJ headphones. They
    may be a bit hard to drive though (depending on the power of your
    source). But they tolerate insane sound levels and always sound good.

    For better performance there's a new version "K141 Studio" which is
    tuned for use with PCs and Walkmans etc.

    At home I use the "K240" model which has circumaural (around-the-ear)
    pads for improved comfort and sound. There is also a ""K240 Studio"
    model available.

    Both models should cost around 100 USD or maybe a little more.
