    Maybe have a look at the messageboards for Gilles Peterson's show on radio one.
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1 then look for gilles show and his message board

    Magazines - Straight No Chaser has pretty much covered it
    historically but not sure how much is on their website.

    Try putting Gilles Peterson, Eddie Pillar, acid jazz UK, Talkin Loud
    history, Patrick Forge, into google search engine.

    There is a book that kind of talks about the pre-history of this
    scene written by Paolo Hewitt called The SOul Stylists - 40 years of
    Modernism - concept and introduction by Paul Weller.
