    :: Bebel Gilberto
    according to Crammed: "Our diva is in Brazil, preparing her new album
    due to be out in late 2003." and read a recent April 2003 article on
    her that reveals a little on the upcoming album:
    http://www.crammed.be/news/bebelword.htm
    :: Pat C.
    she has a new album out on June 4 in Japan. according to HMV it's
    called 'Sunshine Suite.'
    http://www.hmv.co.jp/product/detail.asp?sku=1996844
    and from her La-Chunga website:
    In 2001 her first album was released in Spain, Italy, Japan and Brazil.
    The collection of songs was critically acclaimed and a big success,
    especially in Japan. 2003 will see the release of a brandew Pat C album
    on which she has again collaborated with artists from all over Europe
    and Brazil. The instrumental electro-bossa, club pop and downbeat
    pieces, that have been provided by the musicians blend with her unique
    dreamlike voice into fantastic songs that will make you dream, smile,
    dance and/or hug the world. The japanese version also features a cover
    version of "Toshishita No Otokonoko" which has been originally performed
    by the Candies.
    :: Cibelle
    this is pasted from the Crammed website. there are also two sound
    samples below:
    Cibelle's distinctive and moving voice graced Suba's legendary album
    "São Paulo Confessions". In this superbly accomplished debut, she now
    introduces us to her own world, full of fantasy and emotion. She
    conceived & co-produced the album and wrote most of the songs (in
    English and Protuguese) which take us from bossa nova to electronic
    downtempo via tropicalia, samba soul, psychedelic post-rock and jazz,
    while first and foremost bearing the unmistakable Cibelle stamp. The
    album was produced by Apollo 9 (Brazil's most adventurous producer) and
    mixed by Morcheeba's sonic architects, Chris Harrison & Pete Norris.

    and a little more info from Six Degrees Records:
    Cibelle - Cibelle
    (Six Degrees Travel Series)
    Release date: 6/17/03
    The woman behind the distinctive voice on Suba's acclaimed Sao Paulo
    Confessions has finally released her first solo project. It is often
    said that music is the life-blood of Brazilians: Cibelle is living proof.
    Cibelle wrote the majority of the songs and lyrics (which she performs
    in both English and Portuguese) on this fascinating debut. The album is
    organic and chameleon- like, as only a Cibelle album can be, moving
    mellifluously through a variety of styles and taking the listener on a
    colorful and graceful ride through her personal experiences.
    The key sound-sculptor on the project is São Paulo's premiere electronic
    producer, Apollo 9, but Cibelle has also peppered the project with a
    host of venerable musicians and guest vocalists, from percussionist João
    Parahyba (Trio Mocotó) and Cuban pianist Pepe Cisneros, to guitarist and
    composer Ari Moraes. The album was mixed in London by Morcheeba's Chris
    Harrison and Pete Norris.
