Actually, the guy who used to run Clear (good house store) opened a new one on Mission (near 4th I believe) called In House... Tweekin & BPM are obvious choices as well. SF is much better than SD in the record shopping deal.

Groove Merchant, 687 Haight: this one needs no intro, just ask the Beasties

good house releases on their own label and wide variety of genres in the

BPM, 573 Hayes: house music all night long, baby. the original SF
house emporium and still the best.
after hitting these three, I'm usually well out of money, but there's at
least a half-dozen more.
