I see them tonight in SF at Bimbo's 365 Club...perfect venue for Koop. Thanks for sharing the positive review. After hearing some of the comments on the tour, I've been concerned they would be unable to reproduce their flawless studio sound. So, they played no new material?

At least Yukimi will be there!

    Peace...

Just in from Koop at the El Rey (Los Angeles). Very enjoyable show, albeit short. Definitely worth checking out if/when they come your way on tour. Generally love their sound and Yukimi's vocals, but I think having the live band made all the difference in the world. They pulled a great crowd, including a certain C.S.I. cast member, former Janet Jackson video star, who seems to frequent the El Rey (anyone know, does he live in the neighborhood?). In addition to the music, I must say, I most appreciate that I only had to walk three blocks from home to get there! Any other listees make it out? Anyone planning to check out the Stone's Throw show (Madlib, Peanut Butter Wolf) there on the 15th?

p.s. They didn't wear those ridiculous DRESSES from the album cover.

They haven't hit us yet - end of the month, starting 27 feb in LA. I'm just hoping they wear those ridiculous shirts they had on the album cover.

          Hey,

I was wondering if anybody saw koop on the west coast? I know Yukimi Nagano is part of the tour along with I believe seven musicians. Cant wait for them to come to Philly on March 7 at NXNW.
