    certainly nothing new or surprising. it's very simple--pathetic, sad,
    superficial, and expected as well. a young, pretty face sells. youth
    and looks are the universal currency that all too many, especially the
    general public, go weak for. factor in some luck and a catchy tune and
    you're in. this is the way it'll work in the entertainment industry to
    the day we die, or the Bush administration kills us all first. at least
    Norah's a solid talent. and has met her fame while keeping her clothes
    on (thankfully, someone with modesty).
