Lakasha - Paris By Night (Blackjazz Records)
Release Date: 2003-09-15
Format: 12"
Blackjazz Records comes with a new 12" by Lakasha,
a new project from Alif out of Marseilles (FR). The tracks
on this 12" are taken from their upcoming debut album,
release in winter 2003. Paris By Night is a jazz-not-jazz
female scatted bossa with some uplifting keys that make
you wanna move. You know, those subtile, sensual moves
you like so much, jazzdancin', right? It just screams for a
zero db remix, imo. Big tune!
On the flipside Lakasha have officially taken Nana
Mouskouri's atmospheric dreamy vocal from Quincy Jones
original 1970's piece, 'In Love with you', to update in a nu
jazz fashion for a new version that Nana has already been
in touch to say ... 'I Love It'!

--- Colorblind - Novo Dia (Plein Gaz Productions) Release Date: 2003-08-18 Format: 12" Colorblind is a project of French Dj/producers Dj Spider & Tokyo Dj Jun Matsuoka. The latin oriented 'Novo Dia' is taken from Colorblind's self titled debut album & is a shaking bossa combining future funk synths with sweet male Brazilian vocals & percussion. Wagon Cookin' turn it into a more jazzy & funky tune by adding more keys, flutes, and one groovy b-line!
