Thanks to Fort Knox Five/Thunderball...
The Fort Knox Five – Dodge City Rockers (Fort Knox)
Cat No: FKX 001. Available Now.
After a well received promo only debut (FKX 000), The Fort Knox
Five represent again on the security conscious imprint’s first proper
outing. The All Good Funk Alliance’s version of “Dodge City
Rockers” is a good-natured bongo-tastic feast, with automated
vocal stutters, firm key sweeps, a wave surfing bass and
effortlessly cool synth. The Fort Knox Five’s “Robbing The Room”
somehow manages to pick the most elaborate of locks, courtesy of
an unstoppable keyed groove, precise synths, sneaky beats and
confused vocals.
