So here we go... Rewind Biz The Winter Quarter Rewind Special, focusing on the most recommended albums from the show during the last 10 weeks, is history. The show went about 20 minutes over, but all good. See the playlist below, and the link that you can click on to listen. Be sure to listen to Part Two of the Winter Quarter Rewind this coming Friday March 28, where you can sift through my recommended singles and EPs. Should be a fun one. Trip Photos Online FINALLY...pictures from my recent European trip are being posted online. It's taken awhile for me to get things going, but it's coming along in a good way. Pictures from my visits to Vienna and Budapest are now available for viewing, with more in the near future. Check them out at http://urbanlandscapesshow.com/html/eurotrip.htm. Feedback is more than welcome. More details on the special show of the trip will come soon...airdate scheduled for Friday April 4. Upcoming Dance Event in SLO If you are within the area of San Luis Obispo, we are trying something new that I've wanted to do for ages. We are having a dance event, as "KCPR Presents Eclectic Grooves." Five KCPR DJs will be in rotation, including me, Paul from "WEFUNK," Reggie from "The Deep End," Kris from "Beats & Pieces," and Jennifer rounding it out. It'll be a mix of various sounds--rare grooves and funk, nu-jazz delights, soulful house vibes, and other kinds of eclecticism in the mix. The event will take place on Monday April 14 at the SLO Brewing Company, or SLO Brew as it's affectionately known. It's an all-ages event, though they'll be a small cover for those under 21. We're very excited about the event, and hope to see you there. ---- LAST FRIDAY'S PLAYLIST--The Winter Quarter Rewind Special Part One: The Albums (listen at http://urbanlandscapesshow.com/shows/21Mar03.ram) As you read this list of recommendations, please keep in mind that some of the albums were released late last year, but that my introduction to them weren't until this year.
