    Hi people,

This might be old news for some of you , but certainly
still uplifting and joyful to me as I just found out that
the case against Sarah Jones initiated by the FCC ,
reached a victorious conclusion for Sarah.

AS you may remember FCC condemned the song "Your revolution"
as being "indecent and obscene" thus effectively keeping
it off the airwaves under penalty of law , for over two years now.

Apparently they were wrong, which hardly comes as a
surprise for those who actually listened to the lyrics.

Personally I think it is a wonderful outcome as the
right to freedom of speech seems to be under
heavy attack these days, and like the 50´s it seems
artists are yet again under siege for daring expressing
opinions not favoured by the powers that be.

I suggest all active Dj´s, radiohosts and tastemakers on
this list spreads the good news and includes "Your revolution"
in your next gig in support of this important ruling.

    Excerpt from the above:
I am glad to report that the Federal Communications Commission officially rescinded its censorship of Your Revolution late last week. This historic decision amounts to an admission of error on the FCC's part-an error that resulted in the nearly two-year silencing of Your Revolution, as well as a $7,000 fine against KBOO, a Portland, OR community radio station, and my work being characterized as "indecent and obscene".

Of course, we've maintained all along that the poem/song is not only far from indecent, but is exactly the kind of original, independent expression the FCC continues to endanger by supporting radio monopolies on the one hand and restricting artists' voices on the other. We refused to accept the censorship and have fought the agency's blatant disregard for my rights since May, 2001.

Strengthened by your support and the thousands of petition signatures from people all over this country and the world calling for justice from the FCC, my legal team and I have won this battle. But there is still more to be done.

    Groovefully yours

    Walker
