hey, can't wait for this weekend. i think the festival will be a lot better than previous years, excluding the first. the volume of detroit artists is great -- dwele, k-hand, etc. plus the legends. not sure on a lot of the after parties yet ... except for some huge ones that have been advertised for a month now. the ponchatrain hotel is gonna have some pool party deal. the works, the bar that i think is owned by carl craig and others, is having a deal too. metro times comes out tomorrow -- it'll probably have some others.

heads up, on saturday if you're lookin for a break from the house, glitch hop and techno -- the antibalas afrobeat orchestra is playing at magic stick. $15 bones at the door.

hope you have a good time in the dirty d. i personally love living here. try to get outside hart plaza and see some other areas. if you're into photography, architecture and the like, check out some of the old 'ruins' that litter the downtown area.

just downloaded the schedule... disappointed that jazzy jay and GW Theodore go last at 10pm on monday. was looking forward to that.

but where are the parties folks? it's my first time but there must be some good ones planned. or at least the likely clubs and record stores to get hip.
