Here's a few new albums I've been into lately...

Sian - "Rhino Flower" This actually came out last year, but it's one of the
only full length albums from LTJ Bukem's Cookin' Records, and it is pretty
amazing. Hasn't been released in the states yet, but it shouldn't be too
hard to find. If you've heard any of the Cookin' Ingredients series, then
    you know what to expect.

Caia - "The Magic Dragon" Looks like Guidance Records is really shifting
gears from hous to downtempo...this was produced by Andy cato of Groove
Armada, and it really is a beautiful album. Also sounds like it could have
    been releasedon Cookin' Records

The Dining Rooms - "Tre" Yet another Distance release, albeit a licensed
one from Schema. Sounds quite a bit like early Silent Poets, but more jazzy
    and less dub -sounding.

Projections - "Between Here and Now" Damn, a third Distance release? More
Detroit techno oriented downtempo, as opposed to the Caia and Dining Rooms
releases. Different...there are a few house-based tracks as well, and some
tracks sound like they have early Two Lone Swordsmen influences. Great
    percussion.

Akasha - "Love Philtre Magick" This album is nothing like Cinematique, an
album which I adore to this day, but it really stands out from lots of the
downtempo being released today. It's pretty psychedelic, although by no
means is it abstract. It's kind of difficult to describe, actually...I know
that's vague, but once you hear it you'll understand.

    that's it for now!

    Chris
