i have a new song to download at Sound Lounge and thought you guys would
be interested. the group is a very popular duo called Orange Pekoe,
very similar to Koop in sound and debuted around the same time as
well--they've been remixed by the likes of UFO. oh, and i just see that
Dusty Groove is carrying this new single now:

the song available for download, "Hasu," is NOT however, representative
of their other work, and therefore you won't hear any of the Koop
comparisons. it's a b-side and shows a more electro side of the
band--and just sounds massive! i have a file size limit so the song
file is at only 112Kbps, somewhat lower sound quality, so keep that in
mind. here's a description of it and the link to download:

This is one of the b-sides from the new Orange Pekoe single "Bird of
Paradise," a romantic big band affair. Orange Pekoe is like a more
celeboratory Koop, most note better--and with livelier instrumentation
and an even stronger swing-factor. This b-side isn't representative of
their work, at all. It shows a completely different side with the
broken electro, Cosmic Village-ish production and vestiges of jazz and
Japanese folk instrumentation.
