  • Next message: David Bassin: "[acid-jazz] Tonight: FreeFall #171 - Asphodel special"

The numbers for this relative ranking are taken from our server logs and represent "relative
popularity" of the Top 40 shows on Soul-Patrol.Net Radio
    A few observations...

    - The SUPREMES are without a doubt the most popular artists on Soul-Patrol radio
    - VICTOR WOOTEN"S Next CD had betta be SLAMMIN
    - Soul-Patrollers seem to like INTERVIEWS/COMMENTARIES (we will put more up for u, I got some
    good ones)
    - Soul-Patrollers must be a pretty horny bunch (yall really dig SLOW JAMS....lol)
    - We need more JAZZ up on the site
    - So called "NEO-SOUL" has a future
    - Soul-Patrollers like it when we focus on a SINGLE ARTIST
    - Soul-Patrollers want to hear new music from Classic artists
    - "BLACK ROCK" would seem to have a future
    - We need more DOO WOP on the site
    - Soul-Patrollers love Motown
    - FUNK MUSIC still rules on Soul-Patrol (and always will)
    - Soul-Patrollers like new releases, from both "old" artists and from "new artists"

All of these observations run counter to the "wisdom of the music industry"
    SO WUZ UP WITH THAT?

Could the "conventional wisdom" about Soul Music fans possibly be wrong?

Overall I would say that after 3 years, that this "experiment" is begining to show that it has
    some staying power?
    (a' la Barry White :))

    stay tuned...
