Slightly off-topic... I found this article "The Sound Card Killed the DJ
Star" about the Hercules' DJ Console. It's a cheap (well, $250) PC
peripheral that could replace the traditional DJ gear of turntables,
vinyl records and all! Anyone tried it?

    OBaj, or playing right now:

2 banks of 4 - Three street worlds.
Essential, important stuff imho. Not as much broken beat as they used to
be. The sound is the same though more jazzy, in the way we say jazz here
on the list. Slow thoughtful jazz. Nice vocals and a solid 'album'
feeling. I could buy the album for Valerie Etienne's vocals alone.
    I miss Galliano (the band).

Xploding Plasix - "Amateur girlfriends go proskirt agents" and "The
    Donca Matic Singalongs"
Electronica from Norway. The amateur album is maybe a bit better. They
sound, almost exactly, like Red Snapper. Twisted, fast instrumental jazz
with double bass. Somehow all their songs sound new and fresh.
    Very good sound bites at:

    Basement Jaxx - Kish kash
More on the house side. Happy house? Meshell Ndegeocello and Siouxsie
Sioux doing guest vocals (and many more).

    Cheers,
