just joined up - been looking for something like this for a while to fulfill
my love of this music and talk with a few likeminded people.

My name's Michael (MEK) - been on the 313 techno list for a while
came here initially looking for info on the Bag of Funk compilations - lots
of them have been showing up at my local record shop since they came into a
warehouse full of brand new records from a US distributor.
I've been coming across a bunch of stuff from Talkin' Loud, Ubiquity, Acid
Jazz, and lots of smaller labels.
I guess all this stuff has been sitting in a warehouse collecting dust until
my local bought it all up. Been a goldmine for me.

ps - why the hell does Straight No Chaser have to cost $12 on the newstand
in the US?! Robbing me of my record money...
