INTRODUCING....
FERTILE GROUND (Counterpoint Records)
Coming from the Blackout Studios collective in Baltimore that spawned Julie Dexter and Olu Butterfly amongst others, Fertile Ground are quite simply a life changing band - inspiring a generation by an effortless blend latin, jazz, hip hop with with soul, funk and poetry. 1998 saw the debut release in the shape of "Field Songs" - an instant classic on the international soul/jazz market. A little over a year later and an even greater album "Spiritual War" took them to a new level. Fertile Ground have never been slow in coming forward expressing their views on contemporary society and its social problems- outlined beautifully on this record. An eventual license to U.K label, Counterpoint Records cemented the successes in Europe and the band have now clocked up over 120 000 record sales in their career to date, without taking consideration on their 3rd and newest L.P, "Seasons Change". The band was born to perform live and have constantly toured in Europe, Japan and North Americ!
a -
gaining a huge reputation in the process. Most recently, the "Seasons Change" LP has been remixed by Seiji, Kaidi Tatham, Waiwan, Ayro and Oneness of Two.

IZZI DUNN (Fireworx)
Singer, songwriter and classically trained cellist. No shortage of talent there then. Her cello skills have featured on a who’s who of music. Oasis, All Saints, Moloko, Jamiroquai, Brand New Heavies, Wookie, MJ Cole and latterly the West London crew of Bugz in the Attic and IG Culture (New Sector Movements). Her debut player, The Big Picture, released in October 2003 - has been the culmination of these varied experiences. Her funky, staccato style of playing cello along with her vocal and song writing abilities has caused quite a stir. From hip hop beats and to deep and serene electronica – her media savvy personality adds depth to her performance.
Izzi Dunn can appear as an acoustic trio or with full live band.
