Ahhhhhh......The latest top notch ,don dadda Nicola Conte remix comes to
us in the shape of a rework for those rather fine Italian
gentlemen...The Dining Rooms.Due in September with a John 'Do Right'
Kong remix to come , Nicola (the nu jazz bossa king supremo....)comes
through with a scorcher so hot that you'll need blister cream at the
ready.His version is modal jazz with an afro cuban jazz beat.The flute
player,Nicola Stilo uses Coltrane esque scales whilst on keys Mirko
Signorile shifts to a Bill Evans approach.The mix was completed during
the recording sessions for Nicola's new album so it has the same sound
and conception of it.And trust me if you hear this record and are
feeling a little damp with excitement then trust me......you'll need
nappies when you hear Nicola's forthcoming album not dropping till early
2004.Me ? well...I've heard it and all my trousers now have elasticated
bottoms to stop any leakage.We need vinyl.We need it now.

Bootylicious.Sound of the summer as the official release gets the real
deal but good god ! If you flipped over Yam's re work of Raphael Sadiq
then yo gotta get your listening gear on this new mix.They've only used
the accapella...all the instrumentation is brand spankin.Is it naughty ?
Of course it is but its sooooooo fresh n good that you'll forgive yam &
his naughty cohorts time and time again.Wait till you hear his mix of
only child featuring amp fiddler...to coin a phrase that cuki & i used
